bNAbs stands for: 'broadly Neutralising Antibodies'. The HIV virus is constantly adapting to our immune system. It does that by mutating. This means that the virus keeps on changing slightly so that the immune system no longer recognises it. This leads to many different strains of HIV. bNAbs are extremely effective antibodies because they can recognise all these strains of the virus.
