CURE TREATMENT PREVENTION GENERAL

Can I stop taking HIV medication now?

If you have HIV, it is not wise to simply stop taking your anti-HIV drugs. The virus will then multiply again and damage your CD4 cells. You may also suffer from night sweats, fungal infections and other unpleasant infections.

Do you still want to stop taking anti-HIV medication? Discuss this with your specialist HIV doctor and nurse. They can help you make a safe and informed decision.
