CURE TREATMENT PREVENTION GENERAL

What does it mean:

Fast Track Cities

Fast Track Cities is an initiative that brings together cities from all over the world to develop better methods for tracing and preventing HIV. The cities involved in this partnership are committed to ending HIV by helping people get the right care and treatment as soon as they need it.

A Fast Track Cities objective is to ensure that everyone living with HIV is given rapid access to antiretroviral drugs. Other objectives focus on reducing the stigma surrounding HIV, so that people don’t have to be too ashamed to ask for help and get tested. Over 300 cities have now joined the partnership, from all parts of the world. Amsterdam and Rotterdam are Fast Track Cities in the Netherlands.
